Tony McMahon is a TV historian and author who has written the following books:
- The Knights Templar and Freemasonry (Pen & Sword). An investigation into the claimed link between the Templars and masons. Published in hardback late 2026.
- Downfall of the Templars: Guilty of Diabolic Magic? (Pen & Sword). Why were the Templars crushed in the year 1307? An investigation into the link with the witchcraft trials about to explode across Europe. Published in hardback November 2025.
- Knights Templar: History and Mystery (Pen & Sword). A roller-coaster ride through the history of the Templars on crusade detailing the battles, sieges, and political intrigue. Published in hardback in December 2024.
- Jack the Ripper and Abraham Lincoln (Troubador). An American quack doctor, Francis Tumblety, was arrested in connection with the two greatest crimes of the 19th century. Published in paperback in April 2024.
- The Battle for British Islam (Saqi Books). Co-authored with Dame Sara Khan. A timely analysis of non-violent political Islamism in the United Kingdom. Published in paperback in September 2016.
- Quest for the True Cross (Bertelsmann/Euromedia). Historical fiction about a troubled English Templar knight on a quest to find the Holy Grail. Published in paperback in 2015.
- No Place To Hide (Aurum Press). Co-authored with middleweight boxing champion Errol Christie. An award shortlisted biography of Christie put up for two prestigious prizes. Hardback then paperback in 2010.
- Original Rude Boy (Aurum Press). Co-authored with Neville Staple, vocalist in 80s 2Tone band, The Specials. Bestselling biography of Staple. Hardback then paperback in 2009.
